Human rights violations in Iran continues- ambiguity around Christians detainees in Tehran

A number of  Christians in Tehran was arrested by plainclothes security officers There is no news about their status and destiny .

According to news sources, the priest Razmyk Khachatvryan, Setareh Vahedi, Roya Aminipour, Shaghayegh Dehghan,  Mohsen Yazdani, Frank Alipour. and Behnam pourmohammadi on September 25th , 2017 in Tehran  were arrested, which did not reveal their status , fate, and whereabouts.

The homes of these people are searched and satellite devices, books, computers and some equipment have been seized.

There are now dozens of Christians in prisons and detention centers in Iran.

In recent years , contrary to the promises made by Hassan Rouhani to improve the situation of religious minorities, the situation has not only improved but also got worse. The numbers of detainees and interrogations increased, and many of their Christian followers were forced to leave Iran .

In other words, the study of the Islamic Republic’s record in dealing with Christians over the past years shows that “organized Christian denial” was the main indicator of the Iranian regime’s encounter with Christians in the years after the Islamic Revolution .
